Cold and Flu

 

Cold weather can bring along a whole host of aches and ails. That’s right, cold and flu season is upon us. But don’t fear! We’re here to help you take on those winter bugs.

 

PREVENT

Build up your cold-fighting arsenal before you find yourself in desperate need. Over the counter decongestants, pain relievers, antibacterial tissues and hand sanitizers are must-haves to have on hand.

 

Wash your hands frequently with antibacterial soap. We recommend putting some next to every sink. Disinfecting wipes are also your best bud this time of year. Focus on all heavily-trafficked areas of the home. Wipe down doorknobs, remotes, light switches and the refrigerator door handle. All of these get exceptionally germ-y and need regular disinfecting. 

 

But don’t forget about disinfecting all the electronics – phones and computers.  Wireless wipes are great for home and work! 

 

TREAT

So, you or someone in your household has brought the winter cold or flu home. Rather than force them into exile, it’s time to bring out more of those disinfecting wipes and maybe a blanket and pillow. The best way to treat a case of the cold or flu is with plenty of rest and hydration. And while not an antidote, good ol’ chicken noodle soup is the perfect pick-me-up for cold and flu sufferers.  

 

Those cold and flu-fighting meds you stocked up on earlier will come in handy while you’re all curled up with a full Netflix queue. “Sharing is caring” doesn’t apply to winter bugs, so keep yourself (and your kids) home when sick.
